This Privacy Policy applies to the Bower euchre game (the "App"), developed and operated by Capware LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). Bower has no accounts, no ads, and no sign-in. Short version: the game keeps your settings and stats on your own device, and we collect anonymous analytics about how the game is played so we can improve it.
Information Stored On Your Device
Your settings, stats and saved game. Rule options, difficulty, chosen theme, career statistics, achievements and any game in progress are saved on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and is deleted when you delete the App.
Anonymous Analytics
The App uses Mixpanel to understand how the game is played — which rule options people turn on, how far players get in the tutorial, how often games are finished. This information is used to decide what to improve.
These analytics are not tied to you personally. When the App is first launched it generates a random identifier that exists only inside the App. It is not your Apple Account, not an advertising identifier (IDFA), and not your device's identifier (IDFV). Deleting and reinstalling the App generates a new one. We have no way to connect it to a person.
Events we record describe gameplay only: a game started or finished, a round won or lost, trump called, a theme selected, the tutorial opened or completed, an achievement unlocked, and whether an unlock was purchased. Each event carries the rule settings for that game, the app version, and the platform.
Purchases
Bower Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Payment is processed by Apple and we never see or store your payment details. The App only asks Apple whether this Apple Account owns the unlock. If Family Sharing is enabled on your purchase, Apple extends that entitlement to your family group — that arrangement is between you and Apple.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, achievements you unlock are reported to Apple's Game Center service so they appear on your Game Center profile. Game Center is operated by Apple under its own account system and privacy policy. Bower works normally if you are not signed in.
Information We Do Not Collect
- No account registration or login
- No name, email address, phone number or contacts
- No location data of any kind
- No advertising identifiers, and no ads
- No photos, microphone, camera or health data
- Nothing is sold or shared with third-party advertisers
Third-Party Services
- Mixpanel — anonymous product analytics
- Apple (App Store, Game Center) — purchases and achievements
As with any normal network request, these services may observe your IP address. We do not combine that with any personally identifying information.
Your Choices
You can stop all analytics collection by deleting the App, which also removes the random identifier and everything stored on your device. If you would like us to delete analytics associated with your install, contact us and we will remove it — please include roughly when you installed the App, since we hold nothing that identifies you.
Children
Bower is a card game suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The App has no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for players to contact one another.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
